Plaid for fall

We’ve really been taking full advantage of the fall season. It’s been nice being pregnant this time of year because it has forced me to take a step back and relax a little more often than I usually do. It’s nice to relax and enjoy this season. It’s just now starting to get super cold outside, so we’re spending more time inside at home. I love being able to cozy up with my husband and babies and watch some of our favorite holiday movies around this time of year. I want to talk about some of my favorite things to do during fall.

Fall Favorites

  • Light candles in the house. I love the Bath and Body candle “Leaves” I always stock up on this one when they email out their coupons. That is the best time to get your hands on the best candles!
  • Buy new blankets. Every year, I love to get my hands on some new blankets. You can never have enough blankets, in my opinion. I totally love big fuzzy blankets that can fit the whole family. We’re cuddlers over here, can’t you tell?
  • Make meals in the crockpot. Some of my favorite meals for fall are chili, soup, and anything butternut squash related! Trader Joes has some of the best festive food finds for fall.
  • Baking Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Cookies. These are SO easy to make. All you need is a can of Pumpkin, a box of Spice cake mix and chocolate chips. That’s it! They are the softest cookies, ever!
  • Going to the movies! We love movies in my family. It is special for the kids to go to a movie with Trevor and I. It’s something that we love to do as a family.

What are some of your favorite fall activities?  It’s almost time for the snow and that’s when I go into hibernation. Speaking of hibernation, I’ve been living in cozy sweaters like this super soft cream one all fall. I’ve been getting extra chilly lately and bungling up with layers has totally saved me. So here’s a cute sweater/plaid outfit that I can’t get enough of! A plaid dress is so cute and festive for fall and this one is thick, so you’ll keep warm in it. I hope you’re enjoying fall!
