With fashion week wrapping up I thought it was only appropriate to take a look at some of the trends headed our way this year! I love knowing the upcoming trends, color pallet, and textures but I always try to stay true to my style and incorporate the fashions accordingly. People are always asking me for fashion advice or tips & tricks. If I could share only one thing with you guys it would be to always stay true to yourself & what you are comfortable with. Nothing is more stylish than true confidence! You could have the best outfit in the room but if you don’t feel comfortable it will show! So with that said, take a look at the trends that were seen fresh off the runways of NY and figure out how best they would fit into your closet! Enjoy!
1. Pastels
Pastels were all over this week in NY! From a minty blue blouse, to soft lilac dress, and baby blue jacket pastels are all the rise. Find your favorite pastel shade and do it justice! Personally, I go for a soft peachy shade. I feel this is best for my skin tone and hair color.
2. Colored Collars
Colored Collars stomped all over fashion week! The biggest trend with color collars is the contrast of color between the collar and the shirt! Great way to spice up the rainbow in your life and so fun for spring & summer! Not to meantion it’s a great way to add a “color pop” in any outfit.

3. Trousers
Trousers are all the rage this year and I could not be more happy about it! Trousers are a wonderful staple piece in any closet! This year we are seeing more ‘wide legged’ trousers which go wonderfully with a fabulous pair of high wedges!
BCBG Max Azria | Trina Turk | Rosie Assoulin
4. Bomber Jackets
This is one of my favorite trends for this year! I love bomber jackets and love always having a little jacket on hand no matter the temperature (it gets chilly inside sometimes). Bomber jackets are a great way to add that extra layer your outfit might be in need of! They come is so many varieties of colors, textures, and prints that there is a perfect one out there for everyone!
Marc by Marc Jacobs | Milly | Tracy Reese
5. Tea Length Skirts
We have dabbled in midiskirts & maxiskirts but now we get to indulged ourselves in fabulous Tea Length Skirts! They are meant to settle a little higher on the waist to appear to make you look taller (who doesn’t want that). They come across very conservative so it is best to pair them with an edgy blouse to keep it spicy.
Christian Siriano | Alice + Olivia | Proenza Schouler
6. Sweaters
Sweaters are moving along into the spring & summer! Just like the bomber jacket I love wearing a light sweater in the warmer seasons! With a cute skirt or pair of shorts a sweater is a great way to off set the “high-low” concept (short on bottom high on top & vice a versa). My favorite way of wearing a cute sweater is to throw is over a fun summer dress for a sweet & flirty look.

Love this round up! Fashion week can be so overwhelming with all the new trends. Thanks for picking through all of it for us.
