I feel like all too often people have a skewed view of someones appearance. You see someone who is skinny so you instantly think they workout all day & eat super healthy. Or in the opposite situation your mind thinks things of the contrary. We all know you CANNOT read a book by it’s cover!
Taking care of my body is very important to me. Although, it is not always top priority. I like to indulge in chocolate chip cookies, fill my tummy with a grill cheese, and eat any candy that is extremely sour! My body often pays the price. I have cellulite and it drives me crazy! I don’t care what size you are cellulite is everywhere! Of course we have those people who have legs as smooth as glass but let’s be honest, those are FEW and FAR between! I know that as much as might diet might add to my little dimples it’s also genetic! So let’s all give a big shout out to our parents! Yay! – Not! Don’t fret friends! I have a couple tips and tricks that will help you zap that cellulite and diminish dimples.
Now, lets back track to a couple months ago. I was planning on getting the new Ultra Shape / Vela Shape procedure done on my legs. If you guys aren’t familiar with what this is, it’s a noninvasive procedure done at a Med Spa that diminishes dimples on any part of your body. I wanted to get it done on the back of my thighs and sides (saddle bags) of my legs. It takes a least 3 treatments to see great results. I went and got a consultation but after a lot of thought just couldn’t bring myself to do it. 1.) It’s not permanent, so knowing it will come back within months was not that appealing
2.) Spending $2,000 on something I wasn’t exactly sure about didn’t sound like a good idea. BUT while I was at the consultation the nurse talked to me about body brushing, body exfoliating, and detox baths. I was open to a whole new realm of life!
Body Brushing is something I have heard about but needed more info and Body Exfoliating has been something I have done forever! But DETOX BATH? What! She instructed me to:
Formula to Diminishing Cellulite
1.) Body Brush:
for about 2 minutes the areas that you want to focus on (ex. the back of my thighs & sides)
2.) Detox Bath:
The bath should consist of these items:
– Epsom Salt – about 2 cups
– A couple drops of Lavender Oil
– Fresh or crystalized Ginger.
The salt helps draw out the toxins, the Lavender Oil helps calm your skin, and the Ginger helps simulate your cells. I do these about 2-3 times a week and have been LOVING it! I have to say the body brushing is my favorite part! It feels SO amazing and your skin GLOWS!
3.) Body Exfoliating:
This where Bloke comes in! I love to exfoliate! I use self tanner a lot and exfoliating is vital for an even tan and also it’s just good to scrub off that dead skin! After my skin has soften a little bit in the bath I use my Bloke Coffee + Sweet Orange Scrub! THIS STUFF SMELLS AMAZING and I feel so rejuvenated after I use it! Bloke has the best texture to it! You can really get a good scrub in and feel it grind off your skin! The Bloke Scrub has oils in it so don’t worry about lotioning up after the bath! You will be soft, smooth, and moisturized! I HIGHLY recommend it if any of you are looking for a good natural scrub for your body! It also comes in 2 other scents! Island Coconut, Vanilla Chia + Sugar, and Green Tea + Sea Salt. Being only $14.95 these are they perfect item to pick up for yourself and a couple more for gifts! They also carry the cutest Lip Balms and Hair Moisturizer (which I will be covering in a later post).
So, all in all if you are someone who is also struggling with cellulite don’t worry! We have options! By doing these 3 simple things the past couple months I have noticed a HUGE difference in my legs! They look healthier and feel tighter! Who wouldn’t want that! If you guys have any questions let me know and I will be back to you! Best of luck with those hot bikini bods!
