I want to share with you guys a fabulous recipe! It is so easy & yummy! I am a sucker for all things sweet but especially sugar cookies! My mom used to make these darling Hershey Kiss shapes and I woud die over them, so only fitting that I keep the tradition going. I got this easy recipe from my sister a couple years ago and have turned to it ever since. I have many fabulous sugar cookie recipies but this one is hands down the easiest and cuts very well (which is important for the holidays) not to mention it’s delicious! I hope you guys enjoy and let me know if you have any questions!
Everything you will need.
Step 1: Combine flour & baking powder in mixing bowl
Step 2: Beat together butter & sugar. Once combined add the egg & vanilla (beat until fluffy)
Step 3: Switch to a paddle or hook for mixing
Step 4: Slowing add in flour & baking powder mixture
What it should look like when combined
Step 5: Cover in plastic wrap & chill for at least 20 minutes
Step 6: Sprinkle a little flour down & roll it out to about 1/3 inch thick
Step 7: Cut away – To get the shape of the Hershey Kiss I took a metal heart shaped cookie cutter and bent the top of it to get it a flat as possible. You can also take a pizza cutter to the bottom of the cookies before baking to make sure they got the straightest edge possible.
Step 8: Bake at 350˚ for 7-11 mintues (I usually do around 9 minutes)
While they are baking make the frosting!

Tips
1. To get the shape of the Hershey Kiss I took a metal heart shaped cookie cutter and bent the top of it to get it a flat as possible. My mom also used to take a pizza cutter to the bottom of the cookies before baking to make sure they got the straightest edge possible.
2. Make sure frosting is a little thick because you will be adding food coloring which will thin it out.
3. I usually double the batch and will freeze half the dough for next time I’m in need. You can also bake the cookies ahead of time and freeze them for when you are ready to frost.
