CONFIDENCE IS KEY WITH EVEREVE
A few weeks ago I posted about some of my fall favorite with Evereve and talked a little about confidence and how I work on my self-worth and find confidence. I’m going to start off this post with the definition of confidence, which is the feeling or belief that one can rely on someone or something; firm trust. In a perfect world, yes, I wish I had confidence in myself all the time but in all reality, I’m human and so there are times where I could have more confidence in myself and in people I surround myself with. I will also be talking about some tips I’ve put together for us ladies to get a pep in our step and hold our heads up a little higher.
I love Evereve as both a brand + a store. They stand for uplifting women, helping them to feel wonderful about themselves, and instilling a great sense of self worth! I mean how could you not love that?! As a store not only do they have the latest trends, amazing pieces + brands, but they have the most helpful & down to earth employees! I love every time I get a chance to shop in store and highly recommend it if you haven’t had a chance yet. They are also so great at helping you to style items. I would pick out a couple items and the sweet lady helping me when then put them in the dressing room with an added piece or 2 to tie it all together! So, if you need any help styling something or matching up an outfit they are the best at that! While I love a good store – I appreciate the heart Evereve has even more. You can feel t he love they have for women and how much they care.
I wanted to share with you guys 2 outfits on this post. I’m almost always do 1 but I love their items so much and feel that they are so interchangeable that 2 would be great! First off these leggings I’m wearing are not something that I initially picked out but something that they put in my dressing room to try on with a sweater. Well, I obviously loved them! They are Spanx Leggings so they are very flattering on the figure. The minute I spotted this sherpa vest I had to have it! I was instantly obsessed and knew I could style it so many ways! I just paired this one with a Free People Thermal and these amazing Sorel Boots!
Next outfit I just wanted to change out a little bit so show you guys how easy it is to only work with a couple pieces. I stuck with the same leggings and boots and just changed my shirt to this flowy Free People one and then this amazing camo jacket that is to cozy and fun! I love everything they have and also their amazing choice of premium denim!
What makes me feel confident
Let me talk about what makes me feel confident. I feel confident when I think positive thoughts. This is hard sometimes when I want to be mad or I want to be sad. But that is a huge time waster, there are so many things to be grateful for in life and reminding myself of that and thinking positive thoughts always helps me feel more confident in taking on the day ahead of me. Get ready for the day, now, I’m not saying that I need to have a full face of makeup and my hair blown out, but if I simply put forth some effort to get ready for my day, I always feel 10 times better about myself, act confident even if I don’t feel it, workout, smile and count my blessings. These are some ways that help me take control of my self-confidence. I feel confident knowing that I am loved by my family and my babies. Nothing brings me more joy in my life than my family, because, in the end, that’s really all that we have. I find confidence knowing that my babies look up to my husband and I every day to be their caretakers and their safety net.
How I work on my self-worth
The first step in building self-worth for myself is to stop comparing yourself to others and evaluating your every move; in other words, you need to challenge that voice in your head that can tell you that you’re not good enough! We all know that nagging voice that is in the back of our head telling us we can’t do something or we’re not good enough! Have the courage to tell yourself you can do whatever you want. Write down your goals in a journal or on a piece of paper and hang it where you can see it every day. This will help remind you of the things you CAN and WILL accomplish! By pursuing activities that are meaningful to me and acting in line with your own personal beliefs, I develop a sense of positive self-worth in my life!
Tips for us ladies
Taking control of your self-confidence. If you are low in self-confidence, is it possible to do things that will change that? YES! Here are some tips I’ve come up with for us if we’re ever needing a pick me up! Groom yourself, think positive, get to know yourself and know your self-worth, act positive, turn negative thoughts into positive thoughts, smile as much as you can, hug your loved ones, be selfless and love yourself! The more you love who you are, the more you’ll be able to love others and stop thinking about yourself and you’ll be able to focus your time on more important things!
