Summer essentials checklist
I’m so excited about today’s post especially since we had our first pool day yesterday! I’m talking all about Summer Essentials Checklist for the Pool + Beach. I’m rounding up a bunch of my favorite pool day must-have items! These are more for adults but I plan on doing a kid one later! Below are my all-time favorite + simple things that I tote with me to a fun day I the sun! I try to take inexpensive things because I feel like when I go to the pool I don’t want to lose like my nice sunglasses or get a nice bag dirty or anything like! So I tend to error on the side of things that can easily be replaced but that are also super fun!
I am loving all the one pieces and of course I love a good bikini so I linked all of those below! I always love a good towel! I don’t know why but our pool even has towels for us but I still love bringing my own towel! I linked some super cute Cover Ups! this one I linked up above (the blush one) I actually have the last year‘s version and I like this year‘s version better! Mine is the same color but it’s missing the ruffle at the bottom in the bow that comes in a couple colors and I will link them right here! I also have a whole entire blog post with some fun summer dresses right here that would make fabulous coverups for the pool and you could go out after too and not worry about having to change!
We are so happy that it’s finally warm outside! I said earlier we had our first pool day yesterday and it was so fun! We all loved it! It’s so good for my kids to be out in the sun again and I just feel like it makes everyone happier! As far as McKay goes like I said I’m going to do a kids post later but I did get him this really cute + light weight hat that is perfect for being in the sun! I have always been a fan of Supergoop and love their sunblock! I use a couple different sunblocks but Supergoop is one I never go out in the sun without. I love this one that it easy to spray! I also use it on my kids because their ingredients are so pure and fine for their sensitive skin.
As far as my style goes when going to the pool I love a really cute hat or headband, and cute pair of earrings! I’m really picky about what I put on my lips at the pool because I like them to stay hydrated but I also want an SPF because my lips tend to get sun burnt really easily! I always have the Fresh Sugar one which I absolutely love! It has like a sheer color to it and an SPF 15!
I would say my top five things to make sure you bring to the pool are:
- A cute cover-up because you never know where you’re going to go after
- A good pair of sunnies of course
- SPF 50 at least
- A fun hat
- Good company
